Duo Lab’s work represents a unique opportunity for the country to advance in strategic areas, while also helping to level the playing field in access to STEAM. I am closely familiar with their work and the professionalism with which they carry out each project. Their diverse, creative and deeply committed team with a strong work ethic is an example of the positive impact that innovation can generate in education.

Collaborating allowed us to integrate experiences with a focus on STEM into our inspiration activities for the girls and young women we reach through our programs, their practical vision gave us precise tools to inspire career aspirations by running home automation workshops for girls in southern Chile.

Since the first edition of the Bootcamp STEM UC, they have put their experience and pedagogical expertise at the service of school teachers who, without prior technical knowledge, have been introduced to topics such as computational thinking and programming. Their creativity and dedication have been widely valued by the teachers themselves, who have highlighted that the kit designed by the teacher and the hands-on exercises are a concrete contribution for working in the classroom.

We were a very diverse group of colleagues in terms of roles and business lines who participated in the talk on gender bias in the industry, the talk was very revealing in understanding how technology and algorithms have profound gender gaps, we were able to debate and ask ourselves what each of us is doing to be a driver of change in relation to the profound challenges that arise with new technologies.
